The Ultimate Guide to Private Label Success

Private Label & Contract Distilling

Your brand. Our still. Oregon’s water.

Custom distillation, bottling, and launch guidance from a family owned distillery in Redmond, Oregon.

Private label contract distillation and bottling informs our process, and four of our own labels are already on Oregon shelves.

Start Your Project

Build the brand. Skip the building.

A distillery is a multi year, six figure detour on the way to selling your first bottle. A still, a bonded facility, a federal permit, a state license, and a year of paperwork before anyone tastes anything.

You don’t need any of it.

We’ve spent 14 years turning Cascade Mountain water into craft spirits in Central Oregon. Now we open our still, our bottling line, and our own processes to a small number of partners who want their bottle on the shelf and their name on the label.

Come with a finished recipe or a vision on a napkin. We’ll distill it, bottle it, and walk you through approvals, with Private label contract distillation and bottling guiding it.

Who we work with

Brand founders

Launching a spirits brand and want to get to market faster, with less capital locked in equipment.

Breweries

With a wash worth aging. Bring us the beer, we’ll distill it and lay it down in barrels here.

Established brands

Needing dependable additional capacity, overflow runs, seasonal SKUs, a second production site.

Bars, resorts & companies

Who want bottles carrying their own artwork, through our Custom Label Program.

What we offer

Service One

Custom Distillation

Bring a concept or a recipe and we distill a gin, vodka, or whiskey to spec, from the same volcanic lava rock-filtered Cascade water behind our own bottles.

You own the recipe. You own the brand.
We’re the still behind the curtain.

Includes recipe development and refinement, botanical and ingredient sourcing, proofing and batching, and, the part that matters more than people expect, the same spirit in batch one hundred that you approved in batch one. Our still is digitally controlled and repeatable by design. Consistency is not an art project here.

Service Two

Bottling & Co-Pack

Already have a spirit, or just had us make one? We proof, batch, bottle, seal, label, and case it on our line, so you can fill orders without building a facility to do it.

Includes proofing and batching, bottling and sealing, label application, case packing, and finished-goods handling.

Service Three

Launch & Compliance Guidance

The paperwork is where new brands stall not the liquid. We’ve been through the federal and Oregon process with our own labels, and we translate it into plain English and a sequence of steps in the right order.

We’ll help you understand and navigate federal TTB requirements, label approval (COLA), formula approval where it applies, federal excise tax treatment, and how Oregon’s OLCC control state system actually decides what gets on a shelf.

Before founding Gompers, our co-founder practiced law. That doesn’t make us your lawyers it means a page of TTB regulation doesn’t intimidate us, and we can tell you which lines on it actually apply to you.

Note: We provide regulatory navigation and operational guidance drawn from bringing our own products to market not legal representation or legal advice. When you need a formal legal opinion, we’ll point you to the right professional.

Also: the Custom Label Program

Want Gompers gin or vodka with your restaurant’s crest, your resort’s logo, or your company’s mark on the bottle for your back bar, your gift shop, or holiday gifts for clients?

That’s a different product from contract distilling, and it’s fast. It’s our spirit, our label, with your artwork applied as an add-on. Minimums are low and turnaround is weeks, not months.

Tell us the occasion and the count and we’ll quote it.

Why Gompers

We’ve done this already

Four labels of our own, through TTB approval and into Oregon state liquor stores. We are not guessing at the process on your behalf.

Consistency by design

Our still is automated and digitally controlled. Your hundredth case tastes like the sample you signed off on.

The right water

Filtered naturally through Cascade volcanic lava rock, clean, soft, and neutral. The foundation of a better spirit.

The small producer rate

Federal excise on spirits runs up to $13.50 per proof gallon. As a small producer we pay $2.70 on the first 100,000, roughly $1.70 a bottle. It shows up in your quote.

Family owned and operated

You work directly with the people whose name is on the door.

One roof

Distilling capability and real regulatory experience in the same building, a combination most contract distillers can’t offer.

How it works

  1. Discovery: Tell us what you want to build, the flavor, the brand, the volume, the timeline, the budget.
  2. Plan: We map the recipe, the production schedule, the cost per bottle, and the regulatory sequence. You get a written quote and a calendar before anyone commits.
  3. Produce: We distill, proof, bottle, label, and case to your spec.
  4. Launch: We help you through approvals and onto the shelf, and hand you a product you’re proud to put your name on.
